Simnovus partners with IOS MCN to accelerate open source 5G and 6G in India

Cary, NC – August 12, 2024 – Simnovus, a leading innovator in 5G RAN validation and a member of the Open RAN Alliance announced its joining of India Open Source for Mobile Communication Network (IOS MCN) today as a platinum partner. This strategic collaboration positions Simnovus at the forefront of India’s quest for a self-reliant and technologically advanced telecom infrastructure.

The Indian Open-Source Software Platform for end-to-end Mobile Communication Networks (IOS-MCN) will accelerate the development and deployment of Mobile Communication (5G/6G) products and services by the vendors. It is a collaboration between academia, government, and the Indian Telecom Ecosystem (vendors, service providers, companies, and startups) to leverage the global open-source ecosystem and establish a common forum for open-source technology projects and solutions.

Simnovus: Leading the Validation Charge for Open RAN

As a platinum partner, Simnovus will play a pivotal role in validating the distributed RAN software developed by IOS MCN. Uday Parida, CTO of Simnovus, will lead the team. His expertise will guide the team in defining the comprehensive test strategy, encompassing end-to-end testing, performance evaluation, and interoperability verification. This leadership will include defining test objectives, designing test configurations, identifying and integrating suitable test tools, and defining the automation framework for effective CI/CD.
